One of our readers was able to purchase the mysterious new dog that we saw leak on eBay. She has kindly taken a few photos of the dog and sent them to us to share. ^_^ We still have no idea who this cute pooch could be for, though my guess is still for Girl of the Year 2017 (though it could be for Beforever or the new Wellie Wishers line).

His size is similar to Cooper, the GOTY 2012 McKenna's dog. He is plush and soft bodied, like the GOTY and Beforever pet dogs, and unlike the pose-able, hard bodied Truly Me pets.
He comes with an attached collar and leash that is teal colored. The collar has two fabric roses decorating it on one side.
It doesn't look like this collar folds up into a bow like GOTY 2015 Grace's dog BonBon's leash did, and the soon to be released Beforever character Melody's dog Bojangles will have.

He does have the embroidered eyes the new AG pets are sporting. We're not sure yet exactly what breed of dog he is, but it could be a Golden Retriever. As cute as he is, please give us more variety in pets AG! :D I'm still waiting on a doll aquarium!

Deleteif you look closely the tag says 2018 (ag tags are usually a year ahaed) so this could this is very likely for goty 2017.

DeleteTo me, it looks like 2015. Would they use a leftover tag with the wrong year? Or perhaps this was a reject?
DeleteI just enlarged the photo, the tag definitely reads 2016. :) Since it's a grey market item, it's possible they use left over tags, and that this item could be a reject. We've seen them do that before.
DeleteI think it's for the GOTY 2017. Why? Because the truly me pets are an different style. This one is plush like most of the girl of the year pets. It's super cute, though!
