Sneak Peek of New AG Releases on Pinterest!

This morning American Girl started releasing sneak peaks on their Pinterest page of the new items coming with tomorrow's release! It looks like there will be several new items for the historical/BeForever characters as well as matching, modern inspired outfits for girls. :) It looks like they are continuing the idea of "Special Edition" sets from last year, and I am assuming that they will also have a shelf life of one year. There are accessories included with each limited edition set (not shown in photos) and I'm guessing the price will be around the $64 mark, or higher again.

BeForever Special-Edition Sets Addy's Dress and Sewing Set + Periwinkle Plaid Top and Classic Crops for Girls

  1. Oh my word, some of these are really cute! I like the Addy one, and the Kit girl dress. I just wish it was a little longer.

    1. I find myself liking all of them, but that's probably because I'm happy any time the historicals get attention and new goodies. :)

    1. I'm sorry this release isn't appealing to you so far. Is it the colors or design?

    3. I wonder if they'll appear to children? I love the bright colors (though Samantha and Rebecca really need more than just pink and purple in their wardrobe) but I'm curious how younger kids will feel about them.

    4. Can you articulate why they're "hideous" or are you just making noise?

    5. The swimming costume doesn't look really like a swimming costume it looks like some odd modern wrestling outfit.

Out of all of them I loved Kaya's and Kit's the best.

    6. I think the swimming outfit looks strange by modern sensibilities but I've seen enough evidence and photos from the 1910's to be convinced it's historically accurate. :)

    7. I feel something like this would have been more fitting, http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/picture-of-month/showlarge.aspx?id=295 I swim in modern modest swimwear this looks more like that than it does something to the 1910's to me. At the very least the belt could have gone all the way around.

    8. Or something like this would have been even more appropriate given Rebecca's Jewish faith her current outfit is too revealing for an observant Jewish girl of that era.
