Store Photos of the Spring Outfits for MyAG (Feb. 2015)

MyAG Outfits

Shimmer & Lace Party Dress

Back view of the dress. Hope the velcro doesn't snag that lovely lace.

Sloping asymmetrical hem.

Sparkle Spa Robe

It's hard to see the sparkles but the're on the non fuzzy parts of the robe, so belt, sleeve cuff, pocket top, etc. Very tiny silver glitter. I wouldn't have noticed it if I didn't see the name had "Sparkle" in it.

Pretty Plie Ballet Outfit

The material used for the skirt feels very lightweight and cheap. It's hard to explain but it's almost "too much shine" and looks OG or Springfield material, not AG.

You can't actually wrap it. It's sewn down.

Pretty Pink Tutu Set

I don't think the tiara actually comes with the set, but not sure on this.

There is a sprinkling of metal studs on the tutu to give it pizzazz.

Sparkly Jazz Outfit

Skirt is attached.

I don't like this elastic siding on the shoes. The gold glitter reminds me of Isabelle's meet shoes.

The bow is attached to a clip that looks like Kit's current meet outfit clip.

Boho Beachy Swimsuit

Anklets are attached to the flip flops in the back.

Beads on only the left shoulder.

I like that the ruffle is continuous on the back.

I don't think these are included with the swimsuit but it's cute!

Soccer Team Outfit

Very plastic, solid not really soccer looking ball. I wish you could screw it open on that center seam and hide candy inside.

Sunshine Garden Outfit
Honestly? It's cute but it looks like a pajama top to me. XD

  1. Wonderful photos. So nice to see photos instead of the catalog images, whatever those are.

  3. I agree that the wrap skirt on the new ballet outfit is pretty cheap-looking (should've been made from georgette rather than satin, though I guess they're just trying to keep things fresh), but I'll probably buy it anyway since black leotards for dolls seem to be hard to come by, and certainly rare for AG to make. The tutu set would HAVE to go on sale before I consider purchasing it, especially since both the tiara and the shoes that come in that set look even cheaper than the wrap skirt. The studded tutu rocks, though. I wonder how to go about gluing crystals on tulle myself? I'd love to attempt making my own studded tutu since I've made regular ones before.

My favorites out of the new MyAG outfits would be the Shimmer & Lace dress (I'm getting that for my Kanani) and, oddly enough, the jazz outfit even though I didn't like it at first. It reminds me of the costumes I and some other girls were wearing for dance recitals back in the '90s! xD

    1. Thank you for the explanation about the fabrics Alisha! I don't sew and am not very familiar with that. The leotard is very cute, though I don't know how realistic that bow on the back is. For the tutu, perhaps regular elmer's glue would work in holding the crystals on? Or perhaps a tiny dot of hot glue? I'm sure you can make a much nicer one for a fraction of the cost. :)

I LOVE the lace dress. It's one of my favorite MyAG releases. ^_^ The jazz dress didn't really appeal to me until I saw it in person and now I think it's really very cute. :)

    2. You're welcome, though since I never was a serious dancer I'm not entirely sure about the skirt. Just my opinion that it should've been georgette :) As for the bow on the back of the leotard, it's not only accurate, but bows on dance leotards appear to be really popular right now too. Hot glue may work, though I'd be worried about melting the tulle. A little bit may be okay though. Good thing tulle is pretty cheap in case I mess up!

    3. That's nice to know the bows on the back of leotards are actually pretty accurate! I don't dance or know anyone that does, especially in the children's range, so I didn't realize they were common. I think the hot glue would work if it's just a tiny drop? I'm thinking you might not even have to squirt it out, just swipe the back of the crystal over the opening of the glue gun and dab it on? If you do try it, let me know how it goes! ^_^
