The Scoop Fairy, Jenny on AGC, has waved her wand and made another wonderful find and kindly allowed us to share it! Josefina's BeForever Mini Doll stock photo is finally up on AG's publishing website! It looks like her mini doll will be released in August, I'm guessing August 27th along with the release of her Journey Book (Song of the Mockingbird), the fall releases, and the new historical character Maryellen's debut.
Stock photo of Josefina's BeForever Mini Doll:
She's dressed in her BeForever skirt, with the blue belt! I'm assuming her body will be hard all over and her book will be soft cover like the current BeForever mini dolls. ^_^ The price will be $24.99 for her.
Description from AG's Publishing site for mini doll:
The 6.5" Josefina mini doll has warm brown painted eyes and long mahogany hair. Her smooth vinyl limbs are posable. She arrives in a tiny version of Josefina’s authentic 1824 outfit featuring a white camisa edged with lace and a colorful skirt. Includes a mini abridged version of the book Sunlight and Shadows.

I like the eyes and lashes better on the new mini, but I prefer the face shape and coloring on the older version. The hair and clothing quality seem comparable. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your thoughts! That's how I feel about the new mini as well, though I would also add I like the earrings on the old mini because they feel more proportional compared the the too-large new mini earrings. :)
DeleteShe is so pretty!!!!!! I can't wait to add her and Kaya Mini's this year. Thank you for sharing!!!!! For Father's Day can you do something to show Daddys appreciation who share in their Daughters love of American Girl Dolls.
ReplyDeleteShe's definitely a very cute mini doll! I think your idea of a special Father's Day post is wonderful and I will definitely look into seeing if it's possible! (I may be traveling during that time, but if not, I will do my best!). ^_^
DeleteAre there any etsy shops that sell clothes for American Girl Mini Dolls? I would think there would be a market for it, since American Girl doesn't make their own.
ReplyDeleteI am also surprised there aren't many sellers for the mini doll outfits, but I guess that's because the mini dolls are not as popular as the full sized dolls.
DeleteI would suggest that you check out Auntie Robin on etsy. She makes clothes for mini dolls.
DeleteThank you for the suggestion, I will check her out!
DeleteI wonder why it took them so long to give her these.

From what I heard from a store manager, Josefina was originally supposed to be archived and the decision to keep her a part of the BeForever transition was pretty last minute, which is why all of her revamp, books, and mini doll are delayed.
