Photos of Girl of the Year 2016 Lea Clark's 2nd Book

The cover for next year's 2016 Girl of the Year Lea Clark leaked a few weeks ago, and now some of the books are starting to appear in a few bookstores who set them out early. The fantastic ] OurAmericanGirlDollhouse found GOTY 2016 Lea Clark's second book at her local bookstore, and took a few photos of the cover and back cover summary, and kindly sent them to us to share here. All of her books will cost $9.99 USD before tax, and both Book 1 & 2 will be officially released on January 1st, 2016, while Book 3 will be released on March 1st, 2016.

Lea is shown on the cover in her hiking outfit, and I am assuming her hiking accessories may consist of that pink watch, hiking stick, and hiking backpack. I think it's a lovely illustration, though she still doesn't look like the doll to me.

Close up of the summary for book 2. A fiercely territorial chicken? Sounds like Kit's chicken has made it's way to the Amazon and gone rouge!

    Interesting! She doesn't look the same age to me on the covers. She looks younger on the second. Maybe it's my tired eyes.

      That's funny, I think she looks younger on the second cover too. Kind of strange, but it's a cute cover nonetheless.

      I have been thinking abt this and I guess it makes sense. I know my own target age daughter can look really older or younger depending on her clothes or the expression on her face. I guess that is the magic at that age. (Not sure AG was actually trying to capture that phenomenon but there us go).

      I have to agree. I also think Lea looks much younger on the cover of her second book, and actually the right age. The first book illustration makes me think high school age instead. XD

    Seeing her in the forest in her hiking outfit, I can't help but think her parents aren't too bright. I'd so be advocating for longs sleeves and stuff to protect her head/neck from bugs. mosquito borne diseases SUCK.

    Since I'm from St. Louis, I can't wait to see what Lea's third cover wilol look like. I bet the arch will be on it, but maybe there wil, be Bush Stadium, Ted Drews and the city museum 😊

      That must be so exciting for you then, that Lea is from your city! :) Likely you'll recognize a lot of the places in the 3rd book.
