Photoshop Images of Potential Looks for Full Sized GOTY 2016 Doll

After seeing the Girl of the Year 2016 Lea Clark mini doll detail & comparison photos yesterday, I started getting more curious about what the full sized doll could actually look. These were some photoshop composites I made. I'm not the best at photoshopping, but I wanted to share them in case anyone else was wondering what these combinations look like. ^_^

All of them use the Truly Me #28 doll (medium vinyl, Josefina mold) as the base. I used two wigs, Nicki and Truly Me #24, because they both have the left side part, as well as comparable colors and curls/waves. I used several different eye color variations, and for the hazel eyes, I lightened them slightly, since the mini doll had slightly lighter eyes than the mini BeForever Rebecca doll.

Nicki Wig (I lightened the wig slightly.):

Truly Me #24 Wig (I darkened the wig slightly.):

What do people think? Which combination is your favorite? ^_^ I'm still not sure how I feel about the Lea Clark doll and I am waiting to see if she really is a racially mixed character or not before making my decision, since that will have a big impact on how I feel about her.

  1. I think the decal brown eyes look most like the actress playing Lea's role in the movie, and with Nicki's wig, but I think the lightened hazel eyes look the most like that mini doll you showed. AG's wigs are made up of different strands of colors so photoshopping never can quite get the nuances that a given doll might have. I think the Lea Clark doll will have curlier hair than either 24 or Nicki did, more like Saige and long like her too, from the extensions that the actress is wearing in an Instagram shot of her that appears to have been taken on location in South Africa where the movie appears to have been filmed. Looks like at least some, maybe all of the movie has already been shot.

The casting call said nothing about the Lea Clark part being for a multi racial girl, but multi cultural, which is a whole different thing. Most all of us are multi cultural but not all of us are multi racial. Big difference. I'm not sure why the multi cultural was even mentioned except that maybe they wanted to encourage hispanic or other girls of color to audition as a tan girl would be considered for the role.

    1. I think her hair will be more wavy than curly, unlike Nicki's, but it's hard to tell from the mini doll. The casting call described her as "mixed heritage", and implies racially mixed for most people, though I agree the nuances of the definitions are different. Almost everyone is multi cultural, so I don't think there would be any point in using that descriptor if they weren't specifically trying to draw attention that this doll is mixed racially, and it would be very misleading for AG to imply that, then actually refer to a tanned white girl. :/

  2. I like the decal brown eyed look with 24's hair style the most. For some reason, Caroline's eyes and the green decal eyes look FREAK-Y to me. I love both my Caroline and Felicity, but I do not like the look here at all. (Just me personally, I'm sure it's lovely to some folks!)

I predict an eye swap in the future...because those decal brown eyes are cute~!

    1. I know what you mean about it looking strange, though for me, that's the look that draws my attention the most since it's so different. :)

  4. This... this just hurts me. She's so glaringly white, I'll give her a dark wig and she'll rule the world.

  5. These are fun to look at but remind me more of the actress than the mini doll. The mini looked much darker than this (though I have a 28 and she's definitely medium... maybe the blonde is throwing me?). I suppose I was picturing something like a 28 with light blue eyes and Kanani's hair.

    1. I think it's the blond wig. When it's paired with the medium vinyl, it makes it look almost like it's light vinyl instead.

  7. You used the Truly Me image of 28, I think the MAG version looks darker. Something about the lighting makes is look very different.

    1. Yes, I wanted to use the most recent medium vinyl colored dolls they were producing so I went with a Truly Me image of 28. Also, I think as time as gone on, the medium vinyl has gotten slightly lighter in coloring as well.

    1. Hahaha! The first one is my personal preference right now, but I'm not completely warmed to any of them really for now. ^_^

  10. I think she will have medium length, wavy, dark blonde hair, medium skin, Caroline eyes, & a Marie-Grace mold ;)

    1. I would be thrilled to see the MG mold back in action!

    2. That'd be perfect, because I wanted to customize an MG to be medium skinned and this would be a LOT easier.

    3. Hahaha I agree! I've been considering how to dye the doll's vinyl with RIT dye but so far have been too nervous to actually try it.

  11. Thy're all stunning, but I'm personally still wishing for a Sonali mold. Loving the grey eyes/medium skin combo though - hopefully they use it!

    1. That would be beautiful. :) We've never had a Sonali GOTY mold either.

  12. When looking at this I'm just thinking that she will have: medium skin, probably caroline's eyes because I saw the comparision that you made with her and mini rebecca and they don't have the same eye color, and nikki's wig but probably wavy and not curly

    1. Yes, I think that's pretty similar to what the mini doll would look like. It's a striking combination, though I think the blond hair makes the skin appear lighter as well too.

  13. I'm hoping to see her with the medium vinyl, Caroline's eyes or the Grey eyes or maybe even Lazer green, and I'd love her with either of the hairstyles!

    1. Hahaha! Yes, I would be happy with any eye color that's not blue or hazel at this point. :D

  14. Somewhere on AGC, when the first picts of this doll came out, I did a photoshop job of a McKenna with medium skin and Caroline's eyes. If I can find it again, you are welcome to add it to the pictures here!
