Photos of Melody with Various Hairstyles & Outfits

Last week we posted our review of the newest Beforever doll, Melody Ellison from 1960s, to be released at the end of August (You can click here to view it.), and a few days ago we posted comparison photos between Melody and a few other dolls (You can click here to view it.). Today, we are just posting some fun photos of Melody out and about with a few different outfits and hairstyles so people can get a better sense of her wig options and versatile look. ^_^

*DO NOT REPOST/CLAIM/COPY ANY OF THESE IMAGES PLEASE!*
(This includes InstagramFacebookYoutube, etc. You are free to link back to this post.)

Photos of Melody:
Obviously first and foremost is Melody in her meet outfit with her original meet hairstyle.

Melody is modeling a dress by BeauCoeur, with her hair just simply down, without any additional styling.

Melody in a handmade dress with her hair in two braids. ^_^

Melody is modeling a beautiful dress by Cupcake Cutie Pie with her hair in a high ponytail.

And finally, I tried my hand at given her two rope braid pigtails! She is modeling a handmade dress based of one of the illustrations from Kit's books.

As you can see, despite the length, Melody's wig lends itself to a lovely range of styles and looks, especially thanks to her textured wig, which holds styles so well and is easy for little (and big) hands to hold and manage. ^_^ Don't be apprehensive if you've never had a doll with textured hair because speaking as someone who is quite the fail whale with hair, I can confirm that Melody's wig is so simple to manage and put into various styles.

I am still working on the Dress Up Gallery for Miss Melody, and will have that up in the next month or two (perhaps right around her official release date). ^_^ If you would like to be notified as soon as I update, you can "follow" the blog by clicking the blue "Join this site" button on the right sidebar, and you can "Like" L&L on Facebook where I usually post the updates pretty quickly.

  4. She is adorable! I'd love to see her in the meet dresses for Addy (classic) and Cecile. She will be my daughter's first dark-skinned doll, so my plan is for Melody to "dress up" as Addy and Cecile when we study their time period in history - we're homeschoolers - as we are also doing with her light-skinned dolls.

    1. I think Melody would be a fantastic doll for your daughter and a great tool to make learning about these time periods fun and engaging! I am working on a Dress Up Gallery for Melody and will have that up sometime next month, time permitting.

  5. Dangit. I think I fell for her about the time the high ponytail pics appeared and by the end I was making plans to buy her. I knew I wanted her some time but now I'm making plans for her after she arrives. Thank you!

  12. Where's the Yellow Brick Road and the Munchkins? If Melody is Dorothy she needs those things to put the scene together! (Lightbulb) You should do and L&L theater piece on The (Not So) Wonderful Wizard of Oz:) What do you think about that? Lissie could be the wizard, Lydia could be Dorothy, Cecile could be the Good Witch Glinda, MG could be the WWOTW(Wicked Witch of the West) and Lea could be the lion, and Lady S could be the Scarcrow, and Sam could be the Tin Woodwoman:)
